I agree it appears odd on the surface, but in fact it makes total sense. By marking a legitimate mailing list message as spam, you've essentially told Yahoo that you don't want receive any more

Califdan, The last line in Christos' note is the most important because if the non-spam is just moved to in box, the email system will continue to mark any other emails as spam until it is "Taught"

The majority of online email providers (including Yahoo) have the /Delete/ and /Spam/Junk/ button right next to each other so it's easy for someone to accidentally hit the latter when they meant to

Thanks Duane. Sorry to be poorly informed, but if I understand you correctly, if someone sees something they think is SPAM and clicks a button to that effect, they (not the spammer) get's removed??
