It's best to NOT use the merge function if you own any groups.? That's been known to leave the group without an owner, though it's not supposed to happen.? I don't know if this has been 'beefed up'

You can't 'separate' groups like that.? I'd have the new person create an account, join the group(s) they'll need, then make them co-owner.? Once you're sure things are working properly, just leave

That's a different matter. That's about a message you RECEIVED, not one you SENT. You flagged a message from groups.io as spam or your email provider did it on your behalf. So groups.io stopped
