Re: Message Display on Website
Seeing the same here. I've already made a post about it on beta group.

Re: Message Display on Website
Thanks Duane. Yes it sounds like maybe Mark is working on something.
I'm only seeing twenty messages at a time though. I really noticed this when I wanted to look at a message on another group, posted about 35 messages back. To view it I had to search by message number. tommy0421 |

Is anyone else seeing this? Duplicates appearing when displaying posts. The image is small and a bit hard to see, but it looks to me as if those 2 messages were sent by different people, or perhaps the same person, but with 2 different accounts. One has the name "Bz" beside the silhouette cutout at the top of the message and the other has the name "Barb" or maybe it is "Barbz". It is a bit difficult for me to make it out. Since both messages are in the same topic the second one might be a reply to the first one, with no changes to the text or any new text written. I suppose if 2 messages with the same subject are sent at the same time, or close together, from different accounts they would be put in the same topic thread. It looks to me like someone is sending multiple copies of their messages to the list and they somehow are coming from different accounts. Jonathan |

Message Display on Website
I just noticed this afternoon that on the message page (page one) of all of my groups the display on the upper right [see below] says messages 1-400 are being displayed. On the page though, only twenty message are displayed. If I use the back arrow or select page 2 the message index at upper right says I'm viewing 401-800. Again only twenty actual messages are displayed.
This is happening on this group too. The message index (top right) says I'm viewing 1-400 of 32107. Only messages 32203 - 32222 are actually displayed. If I use the back key it will then list messages 401-800 of 32107. Only 38801-38820 are actually displayed. Below is a screen cap of the message index at the top right of the page. What did I do? How do I undo it? LOL tommy0421 |
Re: duplicate post displays?
Is this when you start a new topic or just when you respond?to a message. I get double posts when I respond to a message but not when I start a new topic. Also, I do not know whether the doubling is just on my computer or the whole group is receiving them. How about you? Terry On Wed, Jun 10, 2020 at 2:34 PM Peter Cook <peterscottcook@...> wrote:

Re: bouncing
Judy,
mintel.net.mx1.mintel.rcimx.net: 554 Failed: Malformed MIME field:That's certainly one of the less clear bounce reasons I've seen. Apparently your email service believes that one of the header fields in a message posted to your group is malformed. Possibly the Date field. You might be able to correlate the date/time of the bounce record with a message post in your group's Messages pages to determine which member sent the post, and whether other instances are from the same member. Usually bounces aren't related to particular posters, but in this case it is possible. The header field being reported ("X-Google-Original-Date") is not a standard email header (the "X" in front marks it as specific to a given email service). What I'm unsure of is whether your email service picked up the message's original date and copied it to that field, or maybe the posting member's service did it. About the only thing I can think of to suggest is to contact your email service provider's technical support and ask them to explain that bounce message. But this one is obscure enough that it may take some persistence to get to someone who can explain it. Another thing to try is look at the bounce history for other members of your group, some who use the same service as you, if any, and some who use different services to see if other members have the same bounce history with the same message posts.
