Including Entire Thread in Emails
#email
#reply-to-group
#thread
When emails are sent with a newly posted reply, I want the entire thread to be included in the email. Currently, if a reply is posted via the web, there is no included context in the reply email.
Is there a setting to change this? Thanks. Mike |

It's easy to send invitations to promote a new group if you know where to send them. That's not my case. I started a group hoping to meet similarly-minded people online. Is there a regular promotion of new groups like in the Meetup organization?

Be sure to scroll down to click Update Hashtag. You have lots of options for this.? You can create a file with the information in it, then send a link to those that need it.? You can put this information in your Group Guidelines which can be set to be sent out monthly.? You can Monthly Reminder notice to be sent out. Re: Settings for digest options
Sorry, I have to quibble here. While group owners technically have the final say, some groups do function as a democracy, with 'owners' who merely contribute administrative duties to the group.
I've not had this particular problem with digests, but I agree that users should be able to choose whether they want plain text or html, and not have that left to group managers. My own problem with digests remains that context gets eliminated in discussion threads, which also affects our ability to forward mailings. I was initially really excited about Groups.io, and for the most part I still like it, but I wish users had more control over digests. Isis |

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýSeveral questions about hashtags1. Is it possible to modify the ¡°rejection¡± notice to state our group does not use hashtags? 2. Can all the hashtags be changed in a batch to moderator only or do they need to be recreated to be changed? I didn¡¯t see a way to change a hashtag that has already been created. 3. Is there a way to set up a similar file but that is keywords and for reference only? * *. On a similar note, I would want to set up reference files for our members with our posting guidelines, rejection explanations, etc. Much thanks. ====================== If you are requesting information about your post, remember to ?include a copy for reference. What happens if an existing user tires to subscribe via e-mail?
Hello everyone
If a user who is not logged in to the web site tries to join a list that they are already subscribed to, using the URL: GROUPNAME.groups.io/g/join they are told that they are already a member. But what happens when a user who is already subscribed tries to join via e-mail, i.e. via sending an e-mail to: GROUPNAME+subscribe@... Does it show in the group's Activity log? Does the user get a notification that he is already subscribed? Samuel |
