Now that Y!G online content is gone, I'd appreciate it if someone would take their registered copy of the PGO application out for a test drive and provide a definitive answer as to what is and is not working. Frances Just checked for you, curious too. Yes, one may still Export a list of members, if logged-in as a Y!G Owner. Glad I did actually as it gave me confirmation of some other things I'd worked on. Reasoning that if they were still accessible this way the Chromium Application might still work so I gave it a try. It does! Got them all. Again. For Y!G groups with any number of members, including those numbering over 1000. I consider this ability to get a list of all the members to be the biggest single aid in re-establishing a Y!G at GIO. One then has the ability to send an Invitation. For those not clear on this, while described as a "Chrome" application, it runs in at least one other web browser similarly based on Chromium, Vivaldi. Therefore it should work in Chromium, Opera, Chrome and others. Application at Application to Download Members Once loaded, in Vivaldi place vivaldi://apps in the address bar/field to reveal the page with it's button. Follow directions. Generates a .txt file. Start your spreadsheet program, open/import it as space delimited file. Save in the spreadsheet format you desire. Copy the column with the addies to use in the Group.io Invitation process. email addresses. My plan is to invite all current members of the old
list to the new list at groups.io by email, By this I presume you mean that you'll email to the list a general invitation, citing the Groups.io group's +subscribe email command. But I really want to skip

- to individually unmoderate every new member In the Spam section of the group's Settings, check only "New Users Moderated" and set "Unmoderate After" to "1 approved message". With that method the first post that a new member sends in will be held pending your approval. If you approve that message that's all you need to do. You do not need to take a separate action to unmoderate the member, that's handled by the mechanism. This is the minimum effort possible: a single action that is needed only if and when the new member posts a message. ... and by email only. I'm not sure what you mean by this. You can neither prevent people from using the "Join" button on the group's home page, nor prevent them from logging in to Groups.io to access the group's Messages. I¡¯ve followed the instructions and have the list of the attachments by size. I am deleting the topic because there is no point in having the message without the attachment. I click on the subject of the message and after I do the deletion, the screen reverts back to the current messages, not to the attachments list. Is there any way to get back automatically to the attachment list, without having to go through the process of Admin > Upgrade > etc I¡¯ve tried having 2 screens open (2 monitors), but it still means that I can only do one deletion on each screen, then have to do the process to get to the attachments on each screen again. I hope there IS a way¡ Thanks Win

Well, I spoke too soon, or out of turn, or something. The messages download app does not work. This makes sense, since the online message archive is gone. In our YG group, I'm going in the "manage members" area and making sure everyone is set to
individual emails and then I'll send an email and everyone will get it.
What I sent so far did not go to those who were set no
no email which we technically dont allow but do have ? # members set that way
And it did not go out to those set to special notices because that feature was disabled by YG before I was aware of that so I missed out on notifying those members of our change.
I was able to send 1 notice before they turned off? daily digest.? But anything sent from now on will
not go out to them either.? (Tried and verified)
So the only way to go to anyone now is to make sure they are set to
individual emails and then send out my notice.? So I'm going through and changing anyone who is not set to individual emails and changing them that way.? Slowly with 9,000 members to crawl through and check and change where necessary.
Then 1 email will go to everyone.? And repeated a couple of times over a given period of time as a reminder, members might not care as much about all of this around the holidays as much as we are in setting it up properly.? And working so frantically
for the past couple of days.? They will get a couple of reminders and then I'm done with YG!!!
Our group is moderated so I'm not going to let anyone post on YG anymore.? Those who try to post will get an individual email reply telling them to join our group on groups.io, if not already, and post there.? It will basically say what I've
already sent out? to the YG but it will be a response to their specific post.? We've had 61 new members sign up in our groups.io since our message went out a couple of days ago.
That way those members I've changed from special notices and no email wont get anything from anyone else and get mad.? Then when I'm done my changes, they will only get the message from the mod/owner discussing the move and how to sign up.?
But it will go out to not just them but to all in our YG via email, everyone will be set to
individual emails.
(Sorry, again a YG aggravated rant....? but wanted to give detail if anyone cared to know.? I have all my ranting out now I think, ha ha.? Unless they just do shut down.? Then I'll just be mad and have nothing else to say....)

Speaking of which. Is it possible to keep the conversations about Yahoo groups in the Yahoo group managers' list? That would seem to be the more appropriate place to ask about how to send an email to all the members in a Yahoo group.

Log int your group on the web
On the toolbar to the right of "About", click on "Management"
Go down to "Manage Members" and click
Click on Members, Moderators, Bouncing, or Banned to select what you
want
Click on "Actions" on far right end of toolbar
Go down to "Bulk Operations" and click on "Export"
Select "CSV Format" and click.
That will Export up to 1000 members to Excel.

Total newbie here. I'm trying to set up a new group for our 501c3. But on the set up line for group email address, I spelled it wrong. Can that line be corrected or do I need to delete this group and start over. So far no members other than myself.
