Well, it happened overnight. The threads that were hashtagged with a duration of 1 hour have disappeared from the archive. Thanks!

Re: Topic duration?
Thank you Bruce, helpful wiki links. I had been equating ¡°subject¡± and ¡°topic¡±. So I see that ¡°topic¡± organizes individual messages or posts into a thread or discussion and a subject line is just that - an identifier of what the discussion is about.? I also see that we can split off messages into a new topic/thread. Patti |

Re: Photos in Emails and photo quality
Bob,
2. All photos in the albums seem to be displayed by filling the screenAgreed. I think it would be a reasonable request (in beta) that the display of individual photos never expand the image (zoom > 100%); that it only reduce the image (zoom < 100%) if necessary to fit in the current window size. If the image's pixel dimensions are smaller than the display area the image should be centered in the display area. Then we get to argue about whether it should be bordered by black (my preference), white, 50% gray, or something else. Re: Creating a sub-group
Eric,
Is creating a sub-group as simple as identifying it in the group emailNo. As Bruce said, you have to explicitly create the subgroup, and assign its email address and other settings. The settings are very similar to those of a primary group, differing mostly where membership is concerned. Jason,
The original owner has made me an owner of the yahoo group but I stillYou may have been made a moderator with limited permissions. When visiting the Yahoo Group's pages click on the Membership menu. Look where it shows your email address. If you have a blue crown to the left of your email address you are signed in as an owner of that group. If it is a green crown you are signed in as a moderator. Or if someone knows what instructions I can send the original ownerHave a look at Steps 3 and 4 on this wiki page, it has screen shots of the Yahoo Groups pages you need (and you need to be able to promote the agent, not just invite the address): /g/GroupManagersForum/wiki/Transfer-from-Yahoo-Groups If you can't get access to the Invite Members page, or to a member's Role setting, then feel free to send that wiki link to the original Yahoo Group owner. GMF's wiki is readable by the public so that person won't need a GMF subscription or Groups.io account to read it. Re: Calendar features questions
Only an idea. Maybe it is possible to setup a subgroup as a anouncement group. Set this group to be readable for anyone, writable only for mods. Then link a anouncement topic to the calender subject. Could this work to see then a embeded photo without loging in? Isidro ? Am 23.11.2019 um 13:57 schrieb Bruce Bowman:

Re: 'show quoted text' vs showing quoted text
Thanks again Duane. I started a new thread yesterday, and included a quote to help start the thread. I got the 'Show quoted text' button. In this case I didn't want that, as the quote was an integral part of my posting. What we really need, if wishes were horses, is that 'Show quoted text' shows up if and only if that text is visible earlier in the ?same thread. imho.
