What about new members we are adding to our Yahoo Group right now?
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýWe always have members applying to our Yahoo group and most of them are approved after they explain why they believe they're eligible. One of our owners is adding some right this minute. Our transfer status is that "the transfer is being processed." We have not yet received the actual email about that and ¡°transfer¡± has not yet shown up in our group as a member who needs to be elevated to moderator.So our question is, do we need to notify the new members we add that they may not be automatically joined to our new ?group? I am guessing we don¡¯t until we get to the step where we click the button to tell the transfer agent it is ok to start. But, once we do get to that point, what do we tell the members we are adding while the transfer is going on?? Thank you Susan B |

I would also suggest that when you invite the transfer agent, you use a qualified name. ¡°Groups.io Transfer <[email protected]>¡± just use the part inside the ""? I have tried it both ways and had more success with the full name.?

Fees for using the Yahoo group transfer
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI¡¯m considering moving 2 Yahoo groups to groups.io, one with about 924 members and one with about 216 members.? I understand from the Help file that an annual fee of $110 applies to use the move technique described in the Help files.? Would this apply to both groups?? That is, would it cost us $220 to move 2 groups?? We are not, unfortunately, a non-profit ¨C the Greater Rockridge Neighborhood Crime Prevention Council is considered a part of Oakland, CA city government, specifically the Neighborhood Services group in the Police Department.? So I can¡¯t show you a 501(c)(3).? But we have a relatively limited budget, and the city has suggested it may be about to be even more limited.? ? You can set up a group on the Basic plan, invite the subscribers from your Yahoo Group, and pay nothing. So the first thing you have to decide is how valuable this old content may be to the continued functioning of the group. I went to the link you posted above and then someone posted that they could just copy and paste email addresses into the invitations box.?That will work. I'm nervous that I will mess it up.? Someone said they put email addresses in a file and then uploaded.You can do either, or both. Maybe getting too old for this, gee.It's not that hard to invite people, and there's really little you can do to mess things up. Just change it! Use the three lines (hamburger menu) to open more editing.
