Bruce, Are you referring to the Restricted Membership check box and its effect on the "Apply for Membership in this Group" button?? I'm afraid that checking that box does not remove or disable that

Is you check the Restricted box in the Spam Control settings, this will disable the "Join this Group" button on the main page. However, the subscription email address

Groups.io may not exactly replace YahooGroups feature for feature, it does function reliably, You could just delete messages until a ¡°No Archive¡± option is available...

HelpingPawsCEO, As Duane said you can't do that, but you can make the archive Private so that only group members have access. Is there a specific reason that a private archive would not be sufficient?

If you think you may be using the site some day, possibly after a non-archive option is offered, I wouldn't delete the group.? Just set it allow no posts, etc and use it as a placeholder.? The name
