Re: Pending Subscription
Yes you can. Go to the Pending Members list, check the box(es) next to the pending member(s), then scroll to the bottom and click on the "Actions" pulldown menu to select the "Resend Pending Membership Notice".

While looking at the view you describe above, I think you'll see a blue bar
above the display names of pending members saying "Pending Approval." Click
that and select "Members" from the dropdown list that will appear.
?
In the same way, you can go back and view "Pending" members by clicking that
blue bar that now says "Members" and selecting "Pending Approval" from the
dropdown list.

A little above "Display Name" there is a blue tab called Pending Approval. Click on it and you will be presented with a drop - down list; the first option on a list of 4 is Members. Click on that and you will find your full membership list presented. Find the member you wish to edit and click anywhere within their entry "line", and this will take you to their membership details. Edit as required, and don't forget to Save the change! Chris ? |

Re: Group Not Displayed in 'Your Groups' Menu
Problem solved. As was suggested, the missing group was a result of my using a different email address for that group. I discovered that by logging out of my Groups.io account and then trying to log back in with another email address, an AOL account that I had not used in many years. I thought I had changed my primary email address in all my Yahoo Groups but apparently I missed Group 8.? When I tried logging in to Groups.io with the AOL address that opened an account that consisted of Group 8 only, apparently created when Group 8 was migrated from Yahoo to Groups.io. When I discovered I was logged in to Group 8 with the old AOL account I tried to change it to my current Gmail account. That produced a message that my Gmail account was already being used; would I like to "merge" the two accounts, with the Gmail account being the surviving account? I clicked yes and was emailed a link to allow me to do that.?
Now ALL my Group.io memberships appear on the My Groups menu. Btw, just as information, I have not participated in Group 8 (i.e. sending a message) in about fifteen years. Group 8 is a regional history discussion group and about fifteen years ago there was a very troubling incident. It began with a discussion about a non-profit group some of us belonged to. This was an incorporated group, that required dues, and that held meetings, an annual convention and published a quarterly newsletter. Someone wondered why the newsletter never included a financial statement as did other groups he belonged to. One of the members then angrily wrote it was not necessary and he resented the implication that there was some financial mismanagement. The original poster said he wasn't implying anything. A third member chimed in that he was a CPA and wrote it was a mistake for groups not to publish a financial statement at least once a year. He said it's not fair to the people handling the revenue, either. People can have financial problems and if they have access to funds with no checks and balances it can be very tempting. He said he had been involved in cases like that and, while he was in no way suggesting anything like that was going on with the non-profit group, as a CPA he would urge them to publish an annual financial statement in the newsletter. The "angry member" then wrote that the CPA was "deliberately pushing my buttons" and he was going to find out that was a stupid thing to do. He wrote that he knew how to trace the CPA's location and threatened to kill him! Literally. The angry member was a well-known troublemaker (he'd already gone after me in the short time I had been in the group) and there were demands he be banned. The group owner shrugged it off and refused to take any action, not even a warning message. As a result, I decided (along with many others) not to post messages there anymore but I maintained my membership in order to have access to the Files Section. They have a lot of historical data stored in various formats.? Long and winding road! tommy0421 |

Re: Attached Picture Not In Emailed Photos.
Thanks for the reminder. Yes, I did check the correct subgroup. Below is a screenshot of another subgroup which has the Emailed Photos Album:
My other subgroups also have the Emailed Photos Album displayed. Only the previously mentioned subgroup does not have the Emailed Photos Album. For my group, the summary of the attachments in the Photo Album is particular to each group/subgroup. In my main group, which does not allow attachments, the summary shows 0B for attachments storage in the Photos Album. Not a big deal for my group - just curious why the behavior is different for this particular subgroup. Thanks for any insight into this. Lily |

Re: Group Not Displayed in 'Your Groups' Menu
If I look at My Account in Group 8 it shows the same email address as in Groups1-7. The password appears to be the same. at least it is nine digits. Here's a strange part-
When I LOG OUT of Group 8 and then log back in, I'm taken to My Groups list. But only 1-7 show up. I have to use Google to get to Group 8. And when I click on the link in Google and land on Group 8's home page, I'm already logged back in. Yes, Group 8 was a Yahoo Groups transfer, but then all my Group IO memberships were Yahoo Group transfers. Everything seemed to run as usual when Group 8 decided to make the switch except, I noticed, my membership was never listed in the My Groups listing. I guess I have to contact support. I thought maybe someone else had also had this happen but I guess not. Thanks, I appreciate the feedback tommy0421 |

If you log out of your account, can you still access "Group 8?" Is Group8 perhaps a group that was transferred from Yahoo groups? If so, it may be using an old account you were using on Yahoo groups. I transferred over several groups from Yahoo groups, which, for various reasons over time were associated with several different email addresses. That wasn't a problem at the time because I generally only used the web interface. When I got here to groups.io, it took a while to get all of the groups consolidated into one account. -- Gerald |

In some circumstances I've found it more straightforward to delete an undesirable [or duplicate] photo directly from the Emailed Photos folder, rather than using the "edit message" interface. Doing so is more-or-less equivalent to clicking on "Save without Sending," inasmuch as the OP is always notified. The only confusing thing about doing it this way is you have to remember the refresh the page before attempting to delete any other photos. See??
