Okay, thanks ? Now if I have selected delete old attachments, that would make room for the new ones if I am running out of space, right? ? Ilene? ? ? ? ?

A small group I recently moved from Yahoo is in the midst of a number of changes beyond just the move from Yahoo to Groups.IO -- and now it looks like a slight name change could be a possibility.

It looks like it actually is possible to change the name of a group once you've started it, is that correct? It seems too good to be true, but I don't want to suggest to my group that it can be done if it really can't.

Edit the message (More menu) then scroll down to the bottom. For each attachment shown you can check a Delete box to remove that attachment from the message. Then you have to save the edit, with or without sending it to the group.

Regardless of which form of Save you choose, the poster of the message will receive a notice that their message has been edited.

-- Click on the blue Edit Photo button at the bottom
-- Click on the red Delete button to delete the photo.
-- If you are in the Emailed Photos folder, a note will again be sent to the original poster stating that you have edited his/her message.

Go for it. It possibly also merits a suggestion at beta@ - it seems to me that the UI could be a bit more informative than just a "no" symbol.

I don't know if this is in response to what I wrote but I do know it is the attachments. ? But I wanted to know if there was a way to delete the attachments without having to do it one by one. ? I go to ADMIN > UPGRADE?> click on View Attachments Now I see all the messages that have attachments I can click on the top one - open it up and scroll to the bottom and?delete that message with the attachments ? Then I can do the next one ? BUT - what I want to do is be able to delete them ALL at one time without having to do it one by one. ? Ilene? ? ? ? ?

Is there a way when you are viewing all the messages with attachments to mass delete those messages rather then have to delete them 1 by 1. Ilene ? ? ? ?

It depends on the backlog.? It has taken 1 day to 4 weeks.? You'll know before we do because you'll be notified when it's your turn. ;>)

If your Settings are correct then it is worth going in turn to your Files and Photos sections. Scroll down to the bottom of the first page you land on in each case, and you will find a line or two (depending on which you look at) telling you how much storage space you have used. Add the two (or sometimes three) figures together to find out the total storage in use.

If you are using a Basic (free) group then the available total is 1GB; a Premium Group has 10GB; an Enterprise Group 1TB.

If your own total is at or very close to (or even perhaps slightly over) your limit then no further uploads can take place until you free up some space. (Note: 1 TB is almost a bottomless pit and will take a lot of filling!)

How do I delete Photos or attachments?

I haven't actually needed to do so myself, so I'm unsure on the specifics.

Attachments (including photos that appear in the Emailed Photos album) can be deleted by editing the message and removing the attachment. Note that others have reported that when you edit a posting the posting member will be notified. Deleting photos from the Emailed Photos album also constitutes an edit of the posting.

You mentioned on another thread that you created the group and have not received the approval email.? Therefore, you should wait for the approval email.? Have you searched for the group name?
Email support and ask about the status.? Most likely it's still in process as Mark has been on vacation and these things can be delayed a bit - but they are seldom (if ever) lost.? Mark returned from vacation on July 30th and is most likely still working through things.
I would suggest not creating another group until after you get verification from support that the 1st group creation either failed or was rejected.? (you might end up with 2 groups and then have to delete one)

Shal, for sure, it's been WAY, WAY better.? We've been able to easily manage our list members with creating passwords, if needed.? Improvement is huge, we don't have to constantly deny email-only membership requests like we did with Yahoo Groups.? Those created all sorts of issues, when an email-only list member would try to go see a Photo talked about on our list, only to find out they could not.? Then, list mods having to try to help that person create a full membership.? That was a huge waste of moderator time.? Groups.io has been wonderful so far, very pleased with the platform, especially with the addition of the chat room!? That was a feature we used to use quite a bit with Yahoo Groups, and was very much missed when Yahoo decided to arbitrarily remove it.?
