Problem with direct add welcome letter #addmembers

The auto welcome letter in the direct add functioin for my group called radiantrecoverycommunity adds "g" in the link. The link then displays "this group does not exist" and I cannot change it.

What to do? ?Sample below

Re: Maximum file size upload #files

I'm running into the same thing. I can't upload files that are about 6MB. Smaller files work

What is the data rows limit. Is it 5000. If so is there a good way to split

Once you have all your ducks in a row, you could upgrade to Premium for one month ($20) and Direct Add everyone.? After that month, they would need to use the alternate subscription methods, but it might save some headaches up front.

June, whyever not? Our groups are not just lists. People can use them as forums, you can provide a calendar for their use, upload documents and images and more. Unsophisticated users manage to use Facebook, which is about a thousand times more complicated than Groups.io.

I agree that we *can* use the groups as lists, but even those who like email lists want to be able to mute topics sometimes, for instance. That requires visiting the homepage for the group or at least /messages.

The only way to do that would be to create an image of the entire thing and imbed it.? Even then it might come through as an attachment on some email clients.

Is there an attachment on the group message?? If not, the group is set to strip attachments.? The message itself should have been sent to everyone that has opted to receive them.? If they're on digest, it won't include the attachment (if it got through), just a link.? Whether they got the attachment or just a link to it on individual emails depends on how they have their Subscription set up.

Trouble inserting pictures into email body #howto

I am trying to copy and paste a word doc into the body of an email.? The doc includes pictures and diagrams but when the email is sent these are not showing.
Is there some way I can include a doc with pics without having to add it as an attachment?? i.e. save the file as something rather than .docx ??

Thanks in advance,
Pamela

Re: Subgroup permissions #subgroups

Well @Duane, that's nice and succinct. Thanks.

How can I change a members email address?

If you have the free level of service, you cannot. The member must change their own email address.?

If you have premium service, go to ¡°Members¡± (which might be under ¡°administrator¡± depending upon the platform). Find the member, and edit their entry including email address. ?

Post diverted to group owner

Hi all

This is the first time I have had this so unsure how its supposed to be attended to

I received a post with no subject line but text in the body

Its from a subscribed person who is NUM

But there is no pending post to edit the subject line which would be the easiest way to resolve it

So have messaged the poster to ask her to re-post with subject line

Where did her post go to?

Is there a better way to react?

They could send ?a blank email to:?[email protected]
  • (change GROUPNAME to your group name - see your homepage)
  • ?
  • Or they could visit your group home page and click on that link.
Or you can invite them.

The simplest way is to delete the old subscription and send him an invitation at the new one.
