I think you just need to follow their instructions. By adding an address or domain to your whitelist, email from this source is automatically saved to your inbox and is not checked for spam. Since email addresses that are saved to your Contacts list are automatically saved to your inbox folder, we recommend that all whitelist addresses that you wish to receive emails from are also saved in your Contacts. ? -- Gerald |
Re: A couple of questions
Hi Eric, "First, when adding members I have several that have Yahoo records with
no name, merely an email address. Do I load the email address and does
it require the brackets (<>). Nothing for the name." It has been over a year since, using the auto transfer, I moved a couple of Yahoo Groups to Groups.io. At that time, there were over 50 members out of ~500 yahoo emails that were no longer in service. These were ID'd by bouncing and I checked all of them by sending them emails and getting a bounce. That number is now 105 in a group of 926, the vast majority being Yahoo mail. My point being that if you are trying to add members who's emails are dead, the report may have a problem. Unless you know that all of the emails are active, you might sent them an email to see if they are bouncing. They were not bouncing in the Yahoo Group. It is odd that Yahoo didn't identify them as such. Good Luck, Paul, Ohio, USA |

Thanks. I'll find them. It's useful to know that the invites are still around. Eric

Thanks for your response. I realize the value of the report. However, yesterday I invited 20 people. Later I looked at the report. However, now the report is gone. Why? Does it remain only until looked at or does it remain only for the day of the invite or . . . what?

hi. well what happens, don't get it in my inbox in outlook 2016, but when i go to the site and use the barrier free option, shows the messages in spam, and so had to either whitelist. and now trying to repair my account in control panel, mail. see if that fixes it. something maybe i did click on mail check or mail collector, which puts legit messages as spam. never had that before. did have a account on mail.com and now another friend set one up for me. thanks.

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýIOmails were going into spam in my gmx-mailbox as well. So I whitelisted "@groups.io". This was sufficient. May be this works for mail.com as well? Many greetings

groups.io going into spam folder on mail.com
Marvin Hunkin
hi. set up a groups.io account, subscribed, but had to go to and set up my account in outlook 2016 windows 10 1909 64 bit on a laptop.
now, cannot find the setting to make sure and says to go to desktop view. so, my groups welcome messages, was going to spam. so are they blacklisted or do i have to then white list every e-mail address, so it goes to my in box, at present, have to login, go to the barrier free, as more simpler and works with screen readers like Jaws. never seen this before, might have maybe clicked on the mail check or mail collector by mistake. if any one has used mail.com, and maybe encountered this issue, hwo to fix, very annoying, have to go to spam, then select all the messages, then move to inbox, don't have to do this extra steps. any ideas. very weird. marvin. Re: Yahoo Group Description field on the ABOUT page [we've moved billboard]
#yahoo
SamiJo,?
I'm the OP on this thread.? The trhead was created to HELP STOP folks from using the old Yahoo email and focus on GroupsIO.? :) So, having the YG Description field with bold color text and even a clickable link to get to your GroupsIO page is the way to setup the YG Description page.? AND the other trick is to have an automated email sent out to the old YG folks to UNSUBSCRIBE from there and JOIN your GIO here. :)?? You can set this up in outlook OR from what I'm understanding in the GIO calendar to send out a notice to the the old YG to post directly to them.? This way, it's nearly all automatic after it's setup and working. :) BMaverick |

Re: BATCH CHANGE of Posting Privileges
I'm sure there was no forwarding of mail from Yahoo to Groups.io. However, if people were still posting to the Yahoo list they would have gotten messages from there as well as from the new Groups.io list. Transferring to Groups.io didn't removed them from the Yahoo list, so if it is still active they can still send and receive messages from the Yahoo list. That could cause some confusion.
