Re: The Hashtags feature is part of which plan?
I am not a hashtag user. Can someone explain what the purpose is and is it necessary for a chat list? If so why? I don't use them and I have many older, retired people on the list that I am sure would be confused. I didn't want to frustrate them so I didn't click on the hashtag permission part.
Thank you, Susan? |

Re: Yahoogroups claims I have no data???
I got the same thing when I tried. Just more crappy Yahoo system nonsense. I have a Yahoo building near me and you can see all these people in meeting rooms all day. I have no idea what they talk about in there, but it definitely isn't quality standards. I think they just live in their little isolated corporate bubble.

Re: Q about finding a particular member
If you go to admin, click on members, any new book pending approvals Will be listed under pending at the very top. Then you will be able to click on their email address, and it will bring up all the different options that you can do what their membership such as approving.

I do understand the anxiety and frustration associated with having to just sit and wait, while feeling powerless to bring anything to a satisfactory conclusion.?
At the same time, one of the things I hated about my last job is whenever there was a crisis, our management would ask for daily status reports, formatted a certain way, etc. and we had to come to a meeting at the end of the day equipped with a PowerPoint presentation. This seriously obstructed progress in getting the actual work done, and I'd hope groups.io does not adopt the same business model. This too will pass, although sometimes things pass like a kidney stone. I encourage more people who complete this Easy[?] Group Transfer process to continue to come here and report their satisfaction with how things went.? Regards, Bruce |

Q about finding a particular member
I just got up and running on my group early this AM and want to find a particular member and not finding out how and where to look them up.
I go to members under Admin and only have one pending approval. Tried entering info on member address in search box with and without % at the end like Yahoo but that did not bring them up. Tried looking under Directory and get boxes for each member with picture icon, name and button to email but that is totally useless with almost 1300 members to track someone down. Thanks James C. I'm also unsure that the automated photo resizing used by groups.io is capable of handling other formats, assuming you have that turned on in settings. Subscribers should really be encouraged to upload their photos in standard, web-friendly formats (e.g.: JPEG, GIF and PNG). Glad you were able to figure this out, and thanks for coming back to close the loop. Regards, Bruce |

Upload Photos Freezing
My previous message about me be unable to upload a small batch of photo images, while valid is misleading.
I found that 1 image within the batch of 4 had a .bmp suffix whereas the other 3 had .jpg suffix. Converting the .bmp image to a .jpg format fixed my problem.? I guess it would be useful to know what are the acceptable image suffixes and it it would be useful if a fault message identified the problem on screen, rather than just show a blank page. . |

I had a member join BEFORE the import. All of their messages imported correctly.... all the way back to 2003.
I would suggest moving your group while you are waiting. I would have but for the fact that we got imported before the big rush. The vanity join date WILL be affected, however. |

To spend more $$$ we need more data on rate of que processing?
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHiya, Thank you very much forworking so hard to help rescue so many of
us Yahoogroups refugees. A couple weeks back I signed up to save our two most important
groups and there were about 800 groups ahead of us in the que.
Today, there's a little under 400 people in front of us. So I
guess it will take a couple more weeks? The problem is when you go to check your status in the que it falsely claims it will take a "few days," which is not true! Is there any way Groups.io could create a primary Yahoogroups
transfer status update page that shows how many groups in the que
have been processed each day, as well as how many people are
currently waiting in the que, as well as notices regarding down
time, processing time estimates for people waiting in the que,
etc. ? Thanks, Deane |
