councilconsulting,
in this group in my email settings I have selected "daily summary"I don't know if the Daily Summary provides a summary of all Topics, or if it obeys the Following rules. But I don't know why you would be getting individual emails instead. n.b. Your GMF subscription is currently set to Individual Messages. Perhaps you changed it back? Re: Please share your database use-cases
#database
We are a charity knitting/crochet/sew group and databases are the most important part of our group. ?Each month we support different charities. ?I set up a database for each on so members can add their details if they will be supporting that charity. ?At the end of the month donations have to be posted so as each member sends off their contribution they record the date and tracking number and when it reaches the group member who is collecting parcels she marks them off as received. ?Without databases we would be lost!!

We use Databases for listing a specific sub specialty listing of ophthalmologists.
We use it in our premium group to provide a visual mapping worldwide which also allows patient members to elicit Google directions. We use it in our Management group w/out the map for referrals when needed. --? Bob Bellizzi |

Re: Hashtag Behaviour
Bruce, Chris,
You've already mentioned that someone has manually added #monthly toThat someone would be me. I was curious if a manually added hashtag would be processed by the system as a hashtag. And it is. The other possibility I had in mind was that the automatic hashtag might preclude having others. Or vice-versa. Here are a few of the system hashtags that I'm aware of.? #guidelines -- added to the corresponding Member Notice #poll -- automatically added to any poll notifications #chat -- automatically added to any chat notifications #email -- automatically added to emails that come into your group via the email integration #cal-event, #cal-notice, #cal-reminder -- added to notifications that go out when you set up, when it happens, and to remind of upcoming calendar events (respectively) There could be others associated with integrations/features that I don't use (hint hint).? If these hashtags don't exist, they are created with default settings the first time a notification is generated that requires that hashtag. They can subsequently be edited and customized (with various delivery options and such), just like a hashtag you created manually, via the Hashtags menu item on the left-side menu bar.? The existing wiki page at?/g/GroupManagersForum/wiki/Creating-Hashtags?says that these system hashtags are "reserved"...which is not at all true. Once created, there is nothing to keep someone for using them for other purposes. This is the source of a frequent complaint I've seen in beta, where a subscriber could choose to append #chat or #poll to the subject of a message that has nothing to do with an actual, ongoing chat or poll.? If for some reason you want a second hashtag to appear alongside the automatic one, you have to put that in the subject line yourself. You've already mentioned that someone has manually added #monthly to the subject line of the existing member notice of type guidelines in ShalsTest. Similarly, if you were to click on New Poll, you can freely insert a second hashtag in the Title field to go along with the #poll one that will subsequently be appended, or add one to the Event Name in a calendar entry, etc. As you may know, there is a limit of five total hashtags in a subject line. If you were to put five manual hashtags in the subject line of a guidelines Member Notice, I don't know which -- if any -- would be bumped off in favor of #guidelines. It could be that the message would be held up in Draft form until you log into the site and fix it. Hope this helps, Bruce On Sun, Sep 1, 2019 at 12:39 PM, Chris Jones wrote: On Sun, Sep 1, 2019 at 05:22 PM, Bruce Bowman wrote: ? -- The system Help is your friend.??/static/help |

As a system hashtag, #guidelines is?automatically allied with your monthly guideline notice,Bruce; thanks for that... but it raises the question what is a system hashtag as opposed to an "ordinary" hashtag? Something similar occurs on Shal's test group; the Monthly Notice goes out with #monthly and #guidelines in the subject line. The settings for the monthly notice include #monthly in its Subject Line, but not #guidelines, so what is the determining factor in whether a particular hashtag is added automatically? Chris |

Re: file export
Bruce, this trick worked:-) Thanks. Space is not the problem. Most of my files are word documents. It would be helpful though if sometimes one could just copy a file or a pdf because it?s needed somewhere else.
