Thanks, Shal.? I am unfamiliar with that web site, so wanted to make sure it wasn't somehow related to groups.io.? I shared this info with the group, and also the little piece of info about web site hosts.? I'm aware of that, but many of my list members as I've mentioned in the past, as not very computer savvy.? So, panic averted on the list.? Good grief.

It is not. That breach has nothing to do with Groups.io. Your personal information may or may not be included in that breach, but it isn't because of any group hosted here.? Steve, like their own posts?????!? One thought was that it could be used as a kind of bookmarking capability to let one find particular messages more easily. Of course, this requires some tool for getting a list of the messages a) that you like, and/or b) that anyone likes. I've suggested that this ability be added to the Filter/Tools function when looking at the Topics, Messages, or Search results. Right now the only available filter is by date. Absent any tools for finding out (other than by browsing) which messages have been liked it isn't immediately obvious to me why anyone cares who likes what. Where is the time stamp on the message on the site that go from yesterday on???
I am trying to figure out what time certain posts got posted.? If I look at today's postings it says a time but if I look at yesterday and beyond it only gives the date....is the time not available after the day has passed?

I don't know what to make of this post from one of my list members.? She is worried that somehow, groups.io was hacked, and her email address and other information may have been stolen.? I have not idea if this site is related to groups.io or not, so wanted to post here, and see what other expert groups.io users have to say about this.? There has been a lot of breaches lately concerning diverse on the Internet.
I checked the email account, which I use here and got what you see at the end of this message.
I am actually quite worried. The only place I have encountered something with ".io" is on this list, so I assume, this is where I should be concerned.

You will see if your email is leaked, and at the end of the message, you will see which sites have been compromised.

Discovered by??and?, the breach was due to the data being stored in a MongoDB instance left publicly facing without a password and resulted in 763 million unique email addresses being exposed. Many records within the data also included additional personal attributes such as names, phone numbers, IP addresses, dates of birth and genders. No passwords were included in the data. The Verifications.io website went offline during the disclosure process, although?. I think you've been perfectly clear.
What I'm saying is that the same applies to them. There is nothing you can do, and not much further Groups.io can do, to influence their email services' decisions about whether or where to deliver your group's messages. It is up to each member to use whatever tools his/her service gives them to assure delivery of list messages into into his/her Inbox. I only focused on Gmail because that's the email service I use and know. Plus I was somewhat taken aback that some others here report experiences so different than mine. In the past I haven't been shy about recommending a change of email service when you find that your service just can't/won't deliver messages that you signed up for. But first of course you should understand how your service is supposed to work, and use the tools it has; otherwise changing services may take you out of the frying pan and into the fire.

I'm probably not explaining my issue properly.? I am using Groups.io to send email to the members of my (user group) community.? There's about 8.5k members, ie, a lot.
They all have their own email providers that's way out of my control.? ?When email is sent from Groups.io to my members (who are all registered on Groups.io), many users report our emails are found in their SPAM folders.
I have found my own Groups.io email in my SPAM folder.? ?Clearly I can train my gmail's ML back-end to recognize the emails as legitimate.? However this does not address the other users out there; some don't even know they have an email from our group because its in their SPAM folder.
?
Any suggestions are more than?welcome.

My experience using Gmail with Groups.io has been excellent, Jim's comments notwithstanding. Gmail's filters almost never classify something I wanted as Spam, or vice-versa.

What one should always do in this circumstance: check your spam folder from time to time, and mark as Not Spam anything that landed in there that shouldn't have - especially any email list messages.
