Has the member added their gmail address as an alias on their account?? This should resolve this issue. Account -> Login setting page -> Advanced settings

Paula,
It probably relates to how the image was placed into the message body. HTML (the language of formatted messages) has various options, and I've found that most email interfaces don't make it obvious which option you're using. Only one of the three options is, properly speaking, an attachment, but it is (or has been) the most commonly used option. See this message, and the one it links to.

It sounds like maybe her email is being caught in the relatively new scanning feature, .? It would depend on what all is included in her email, such as signatures with links.? You should be able to check the activity log for your group to see if this is what's happening.? If you have her subscribe using the web site, or at least create an account, it may help.

A message posted to our group had a photo in it. I thought I had selected the settings that would not allow photos in messages, but I didn't receive a notification to approve/disapprove the message. Is this an anomaly or is there an additional setting I need to select to make sure that all messages with photos are tagged for approval? |

You can't force anyone to enter a name.? You do have the option to enter one for them.? If neither of those happens, the site will attempt to get a name from the first post they send by email.

Apologies to all.? It was Adblock that was keeping me from seeing the links, as it was with Gaute, not Flash.? (That was over a year ago!)? Since there are no ads on Groups.io, I've disabled Adblock for the site.

Re: Editing Files
I used the sidebar function in the Wiki to create a list of leaders in our group. You can also put a "sticky" wiki page that sits on top of your message board, though it only shows a few lines of text and then an option to see the whole thing. One other option is to create a database, that would be easily edited and downloaded.
