It seems to me that replying from the Summary sort of defeats the purpose.? You have to go online to read the content of the messages anyway, so why not reply there?

Kevin -- The Google Drive integration has been "temporarily" disabled for over a year (ref:?). You might want to post a message in that group asking what the status is.

I am a bit new to managing a groups.io group.? One of the features I was very interested in was the integration with a google drive.? I finally go to do it and I get the message "Unfortunately, due to changes with Google's APIs, we've had to temporarily disable Google Drive authentication."? I can't seem to be able to find if mentioned except in passing.? Is this truly temporary and anyone have any idea when this will be resolved?

Yes.

The default Message Selection "All Messages" sets you to receive all but those you mute.

The Message Selection "Following Only" sets you to receive only those you follow. With the optional modifiers of "First Message Also" and "Auto Follow Replies".

Mute and Follow there refer to both Topic and Hashtag based.

Combining Following Only with Auto Follow Replies gives one an email setup similar to many web-based message boards. You receive email copies of postings only when you choose to follow a topic, or when you start or reply in a topic.

Adding First Message Also to that gives you a way to learn of potentially interesting new topics/hashtags to follow without having to go to the web site, and without seeing all the replies to the uninteresting ones.

I work-around that lack by using a second membership in the group (a second subscribed email address). The downside of course is that the Summaries don't land in the same Inbox as the individual messages. Unless you forward them or use some other technique to combine them.

Hi,
Seeking some help with regards to muting hashtags vs following them.
We have members who are very specific in their interests, and may only wish to receive messages associated with a certain hashtag.
If this is the case, we instruct them to visit the "hashtags' section, and mute any hashtag they are not interested in.

However, in the "advanced preferences" section, there is reference to "following" hashtags - is there a way follow a hashtag, as opposed to muting those you don't want?

Have you checked your Activity Log to see if there are any details there?

The only experience I've had when messages could not be approved was when they came via an email integration (and were held for moderation) and the sender had also copied them direct to the group so they were already released to members. I did raise but have had no update since.

There was some groups maintenance earlier today.
Minutes before?that I approved three messages.

The three messages never got released.
After the maintenance those three messages were still there plus two new ones.

I successfully approved the two new ones but the three previous ones won't shift.

Any ideas??

So perhaps now groups.io doesn't realize that the messages are still in limbo.? In which case there is a bug.

I have the same problem, including with some members of this group. I think
it's when they send from an email client, not the groups.io web site, and send
in HTML with no plain text option. Makes their posts very difficult to read,
combining tiny text with poor contrast.

OK on the search.? I just did a test on by modifying a subscriber's photo description, searched then on the inserted text and it showed up.? Thanks I'll pass this info along to the group subscirbers on the one I admin.

Flipping my android phone to landscape, the search button still is not visible.? For the mid size...good news I'll be able to test later on with an iPad that just arrived to day.
