it could be the Remove Other Reply Options setting is checked. This goes hand in hand force replying to group or sender so would eliminate the,other options in the footer.?

Thanks Duane. That was it. I recently switched to Windows 10 and I have had to reload all my bookmarks. I inadvertently loaded a link to "Topics." I reloaded the bookmark to "Messages" and now I'm back to normal. Or at least what passes for normal around here. :)

"Normalize HTML emails" strips tags for font family, font size, and text/background color.?Having checked this box, associated menu items will also disappear from the advanced toolbar of the online message editor.

If you want to stop this from happening check the "Normalize HTML Emails" box in your group settings.

So the receiver is getting an email with two differing sizes of font

As I only send in plain text it didn't occur to me initially

Summary overrides the following stuff.? They'd need to select individual messages and set any Advanced Settings there.

I believe it searches everything that is text-based...Owner/File Name/Description...including that of the enclosing album. Metadata like date and file size are not searchable.

It's based on screen width...the breakpoint is ~960 pixels.

I have two questions and I have been unable to find answers.

This involves the busy group I own, which is affiliated with a small national 501(c)(3). Is there a way to set the home page to ALWAYS display messages not topics when I land there? I understand how to reset the page from Topics to Messages but on my next visit it has reverted back to displaying Topics. It seems to me this began happening a week or two ago. Prior to that, if I set the page to Messages, or to 'Home,' it would still display that on my next visit. Can I control this through settings?

My other question is, when I used to visit the group the Home page was displayed. To see messages I had to select them from the menu on the left hand side. That has definitely changed in the past week or two. Now when I visit, the landing page is always Topics. Did Groups.io change this or did I do it inadvertently?

I am having complaints of receiving some groups.io posts in a smaller size text (in a few posts but not all)

I am a bit baffled as to how a sender could alter the text size on a receivers device

Or am I missing something ?

Ellen,

I am the moderator of the group and usually I can email the members
privately Reply to sender. I have noticed that this is not an option
in the footer over a week now.

In addition to the Plain Text Only checkbox in the group's Settings page that Duane mentioned, If a member posts a message in plain text (like this one of mine), and the group does not have Force HTML Emails checked, then the message will carry the plain text version of the message footer.

Though if this has been going on for a week it might be unlikely that all posts in that time happened to be plain text.
