Re: wordpress and groups.io
Mark -- For completeness, I should also mention you can do the same member sync function by uploading a flat-text file containing all the email addresses and [optionally] their Display Names, by using the "File Sync" button at the top of the same page (Admin>Members). Any address that appears in the file will be added, and any current subscriber not found in the file will be removed...with no notification.
The entries must be in the same format that's used for uploading members for the Invite or Direct Add function (plain text, each address on its own line). A CSV file or an Excel spreadsheet will not work. This feature is only available to Premium/Enterprise groups. Regards, Bruce Check out the new groups.io Help Center?and?groups.io Owners Manual |
Re: Yahoo Group Suddenly Comes To Life
Hi peeps, -- changed to "new member needs approval", so if someone tries to join the yahoo group, we say no, join the groups.io group ? |
...
Lo| I've never heard of a member being | unsubscribed for marking a message | from another member as spam??? So, you never read messages posted at GMF group, because it's a very common occurence. As it was said, there's no such thing as "message from another member", all messages are from Groups.io on behalf of a member. So, some email providers can decide these messages are spam. The problem is with the Mail Service. The best thing the member should do is change to another email provider and rejoin your group. [ ] Rubens . |

If you go to Admin>Members and click on the "Service Sync" button at the top of the page you can sync your group membership with that of an external service. Unfortunately, the only one currently supported is Slack. ? Hope this helps, Bruce Check out the new groups.io Help Center?and?groups.io Owners Manual |

A search for California found 409 groups, even Massachusetts found 90 listed.? I see no reason to duplicate the functionality. wordpress and groups.io
TAFN Webmaster
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýGood evening, Can anyone? help we are using paid membership pro When we was using mailman we used a plugin witch when a member sign up to our organisation they automatically was signed up to our announce mailing list Is there any way we could do this with groups.io I know the member would have to reply to the email but ?they have to do that anyway Just to make the system ??automated Mark. ? ? ???????????????????????????????????????????? ? |
How about adding more search functionality like Zip Code? City?
How about making groups locally discoverable?
I am not sure what data groups.io communities could be asked to share which would make it possible to search and find them. A zip code? A city name??Folks could then visit groups.io and search by zip code and see who in the city or neighborhood had a group they could ask to join or simply join. ?Right new seekers can search by Most Popular, Most?Active, Newest and By Name. Thoughts??Comments? What do others think? How can this idea be proposed to the groups.io team of designers and developers? Ta ta for now

A small semantic point; no message is "from another member". All messages are from Groups.io on behalf of a member. I think I'm correct in concluding that it can't be done with photos, eh?Fortunately you are mistaken, at least partly. Go to the photo in question (in whatever album* it is in) and click on the thumbnail. Owners (and Moderators with the relevant permission) and the photo's originator can edit the name and add a description. Where appropriate the ownership of he photo can also be reassigned. * If the photo was sent as an attachment and is thus in the Emailed Photos album then the details cannot be edited. Chris |
Retitling photos
Pardon another stupid question, but they're the only kind I ask, and I expect the answer is simple.
Is there no way to retitle a photo that's already been uploaded to a group's Photos section? It's easy enough to do with Files, but I think I'm correct in concluding that it can't be done with photos, eh? |

This is to notify you that xxxxx@... has been unsubscribed from your group [email protected] because message? xxxxxx?was marked as spam. Note that this may have been done by their email service provider, not by the individual member personally. They've been given a link that lets them quickly resubscribe, in case this was an error. |
