Sherri -- That's correct...as photos are added or deleted, the others may be renumbered.

Is there something not set up correctly so that photos get placed at the front of the list instead of at the end, so the links will still work when new photos are added?

Although the feature has been requested before, there is currently no way to provide a permanent link to a photo in an album.

Why don’t you delete those that have been accepted? ?Deleting them from the Invite screen doesn’t delete their accepted subscription. Just takes them out of that section.?

Yes, I guess a subsort that would be a feature I would like to have, although it's really only a big issue right now at the beginning of the group where I'm trying to make sure members aren't missing their invitations.??

Is there some hierarchy in the sort of sent invitations by "Invited" date?? It again doesn't seem like its just strictly date as the dates aren't chronological.? I know that date changes from invited date to accepted date, but it still doesn't seem to follow chronological order.

Brian -- This step is not automated and requires solving a CAPTCHA on the Y!G.

Recent posts here suggest you should receive an email saying the invitation has been accepted within a day or three.

Judith -- The Pending Subscription notice is not designed to be a user questionnaire. It is being used as a work-around for a feature that does not currently exist.

As such, you will have to manage this yourself -- pair up any response you get with the corresponding "needing approval" notification in order to approve these applicants. Note also that there is no guarantee that a pending subscriber will send you a response.

I realize that this probably fails to meet your expectations. A new user questionnaire feature has been suggested multiple times in beta, but for whatever reason has never been implemented.

I was able to download SOME of my cover photos, using Chrome and directions similar to what were given by Isidro.(Thanks!)? But on others I got the error message cited:"We are sorry, you can not display images hosted by Yahoo! Groups on non Yahoo! Groups pages" .
?For whatever reason I had no success using Firefox and also tried Internet Explorer with no success. I consistently got the error, but it may have been due to the particular groups for which I was attempting to download the covers, rather than the particular browser?

The string of text you are looking for in the goobledygook starts with http and ends with cover.jpg
I did the right click on the photo (or the space where the photo should have been), then selected inspect element or similar, then a chunk of gobbledygook was highlighted. Then I highlighted the chunk directly above this which included the cover.jpg link. I right clicked on it and selected copy > outerHTML or similar , then pasted this into the address bar of the browser, where I used the right and left arrows to help in deleting unwanted text around the "http...cover.jpg" string. The string is actually in there twice.

Since the procedure worked SOMETIMES for me, I may retry periodically to see if Yahoo eventually allows me to display and save the images. Or does anyone have other suggestions? Linda N

You cannot sort on two keys at the same time. It's one or the other.

Groups.io provides no function that will permit you to perform a subsort of an already-sorted list. I wouldn't call that a "bug," just a missing feature.

Hi there,
I was trying to resend invites among the people who haven't accepted an invitation yet to our group. I tried to sort by status and by date, but it doesn't seem to be working correctly. ?The results always seem to never come back the same which throws me off as I'm trying to meticulously send invitations back out to anyone who hasn't responded to the initial invite. ?For example, if I sort by status so I can look at all the sent but not accepted invites, the resulting sort doesn't seem to be organized by date or alphabetical, but seems to randomize itself each time. ?So it isn't easy for me to select and page over. ?Perhaps what I'm looking for is a two-step search.
Is this a bug or just how filters work?

Larry -- When you look at your own membership record in this Yahoo group, do you have a green crown or a blue crown?

If it's green, you are a Moderator, not an Owner, no matter what the tool-tip might say.

I don't see anywhere where I can recover from this, and Yahoo is no help.

If for any reason you cannot send an invitation, or cannot promote the transfer agent to Moderator, you will have to find someone else to transfer this group.?

Same in io groups. I get an?email to tell me "Subscription Approval Needed".? I can simply reply to that email to approve or go to the group and do it manually on the web. ? Barbara? ?

To moderate a message through email, just reply with a blank email from your correct email address.

A small part of me wants to agree with you, but given that Yahoo was funded by (mainly annoying) advertisements and Groups.io is an ad - free zone the charge does not seem inherently unreasonable. Mark (and whatever personnel he employs) are having to do an immense amount of work to try and absorb those fleeing Yahoo, and it is almost certain that he has had to buy or lease significant additional storage capacity to cater for it all.

What alternative funding model would you have used?

You might also note that for your money you are actually getting 12 months - worth of additional storage capacity; if you revert to being a Basic / free group after your initial 12 months have elapsed then your storage will drop to 1 GB, and if you want to retain all your existing material then you will have to continue paying to maintain your Premium status.
