That's unfortunate, for sure. You could always ask, but it might be quicker to delete the content yourself. Unfortunately, there is no function that deletes all content and leaves the group in place.

You have to be a group Owner, or a Moderator with the "Billing" privilege. If you have the above privileges it will show on the left-side menu bar as Admin>Upgrade. Then click the "View/Change Plan"
