Re: Groups.io Archieve Feature
Since there is no option to immediately turn off archiving we will just delete our newly set up group and not use groups.oi.Groups.io may not exactly replace YahooGroups feature for feature, it does function reliably, You could just delete messages until a ¡°No Archive¡± option is available... |
Re: Groups.io Archieve Feature
HelpingPawsCEO,
How do we set up 'Do Not Archive' or remove the archive feature inAs Duane said you can't do that, but you can make the archive Private so that only group members have access. Our new groups.io group does not want its messages/post archived. Is there a specific reason that a private archive would not be sufficient? Explaining the use case may make it a more compelling suggestion. Shal -- Help: /static/help More Help: /g/GroupManagersForum/wiki Even More Help: Search button at the top of Messages list |

we will just delete our newly set up groupIf you think you may be using the site some day, possibly after a non-archive option is offered, I wouldn't delete the group.? Just set it allow no posts, etc and use it as a placeholder.? The name of a deleted group can't be reused for some unknown time.? You could also change the group name to something that would likely never be used (gibberish) before deleting so the original name would be available. In our yahoo group we have the option to archive or not but can't find this option under the groups.io setup. The only reason we are switching to groups.io is because the yahoo groups calendar announcements no work and have not sent out an event for almost a year. How do we set up? 'Do? Not Archive' or remove the archive feature in groups.io |

Re: New group Manager With Question.
Judy,?
- In your email, just click to reply to the email (the notice, not the member) and it will be automatically approved. No message is required, just an empty reply email.?
You will be replying to the automatically address for that message ( groupname+approve+message number@groupname
?
(You must be using your email address associated with the account (i.e. your account ID).?
I have added this to the Wiki -?/g/GroupManagersForum/wiki/Approving---moderating-a-message Edits welcome!

If you have followed the link but aren't seeing an opportunity to approve the messages, it's probably because you haven't logged in. Login instructions can be found at?/static/help#password?. As long as you don't delete your browser cookies, the login will persist for 30 days. Once you finish that, you should see a status badge at upper left (look for the Home button), confirming that you are logged in with a Moderator or Owner account. Re: New group Manager With Question.
Hi, Welcome to Groups.IO. Which method are you using to access and manage the group ¨C web or email? I find that it is more efficient to approve posts via email by simply replying to the post that needs approval. Cheers, Joseph ? [excessive quote trimmed by moderator] |
Re: New group Manager With Question.
There are a few ways to approve them.? Easiest is to just reply to the notice and it will be automatically approved (if I remember right.)? If you do it online, go to /g/GroupName/pending (or Admin > Pending.)? From there, there are two options.? 1) Select the posts using the check boxes to the left of them and click the Approve (or another) button. 2) Click on the first one to open it, then use the buttons at the bottom to Approve, Reject, Delete, etc.? Once you take care of the first, the next one will automatically open.

New group Manager With Question.
Judy Jones
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI already have 7 subscribers to my new group overnight, and their first post requires moderator approval, but I can¡¯t find how to do that. ? I have followed the link in the Needs Approval link in a post, but can¡¯t figure out what to do. ? I also went into my group¡¯s Needs Approval link, but again, it is not apparent what to do next.? There is no Approve button in the list of suggested actions, or any clue I can find how to do this. ? Thanks in advance for your help. ? Judy ? |
