? I'd take a look at the Source Code of the message that was delivered to see where it was held up.? More than likely it was your email service, but the time stamps along the way will tell you for sure.Duane -- Help: /static/help GMF's Wiki: /g/GroupManagersForum/wiki Search button at the top of Messages list A few site FAQs: /static/pricing#frequently-asked-questions ? |

Hi Irene Good to know that I am not the only one that some messages are being delayed. Smile sugar ? [excess quote and a solicitation removed by moderator]

It's a Charter problem... they don't care much about customer service so they
do this sort of blocking arbitrarily. there are plenty of other places
sending far more email to them, but they don't know Groups.io. Your
subscriber should call Charter support and complain... and he/she should have
a full copy of the message in hand when doing so. He will probably have to
ask for the complaint to be "escalated" to higher level support before he
stands a chance of getting it resolved. And when he gets someone who has a
clue he needs to tell them that Groups.io is a groups site just like
Yahoogroups and GoogleGroups and shouldn't be blocked.
?
Yeah, I know, subscribers throw up their hands when told this, but Charter
(and others) don't listen to non-customers so there's not a lot of choice.

Re: New Subscriber Notifications
Members shouldn't get New Subscriber notifications, only moderators (if they've chosen to receive the emails.)

I'm pretty sure this is a bug that you should report to [email protected]? There was a change made to the code for the Subscribe to Calendar in mid-August and this is likely related.

Subscribing to a Subgroup Calendar

Rob Bulnes
I run a group with a Main group and 8 Subgroups. The option to subscribe to the Subgroup calendars is greyed out on the subgroups. Ideally, the members of my group should be able to subscribe to the Main calendar and subscribe to the calendar of the Subgroup to which they belong. Is there a way to make that work?

Re: Subgroup Question
Yes, the original address should still work, as well as the new one, (initially) [email protected]
Using the original link will take them to the main group home page. Duane -- Help: /static/help GMF's Wiki: /g/GroupManagersForum/wiki Search button at the top of Messages list A few site FAQs: /static/pricing#frequently-asked-questions |

Re: Cannot uncheck "New Users Moderated"
For spam control one box must be checked. Perhaps that is the only one that is checked. Ullmang On Wed, Sep 19, 2018, 10:01 AM Tom Esker <tesker@...> wrote:

Subgroup Question
Bob Cook
I have a private group, discoveryowners.
If I create a subgroup.... If someone sends an email to post a message to [email protected],?will it still get posted to the main group? Could they still directly access the main group at /g/discoveryowners? I am trying to cover all the bases for changes required of any existing members when a subgroup is created. THANKS, Bob ? |

I have the same problem and I have followed the instructions for two groups. ?It has been 48 hours and the only message I have is that the invite has been received by groups.io ?Came here because I am fed up with yahoogroups. ?I really hope it will be better.
