Re: Monthly Repeating Events in Calendar

I've verified the 'Repeats' options apply to the event itself, not to any reminder. To achieve what you've asked, create a new event on the next available 2nd Saturday and, if event time is not important choose 'All Day' in the 'Date and Time' panel. In the 'Repeats' panel, select 'Event Repeats', choose 'Monthly' for the frequency and set 'Repeat Every' to '1' to mean every month. Next, choose 'Repeat by day of the week' and then, finally, choose an appropriate date for 'Ends' (or 'Never Ends' for a perpetual event). If you wish to send reminders, that can be configured in the 'Reminders' panel towards the bottom of the event edit screen.? Or did I misunderstand the question? Best regards, Matt H |

As if the one-by-one process of deleting such photos isn't annoying enough, due to browser caching I often find it necessary to refresh the screen between deletions so my next click will select the right photo. So no, it's nothing unique to your setup.? Bruce |
Monthly Repeating Events in Calendar

? I'm trying to set up a repeating calendar event that occurs on the 2nd Saturday of the month, every month.? I am not finding a way to do that.? ? ===> What am I missing? ? Or - is this something that isn't possible yet?? Michael, for what it is worth, my yahoo groups are functioning. I have delayed transferring to io since several of the groups I own are school/parent/PTA related and summer would be a better time to make a transition. I am hoping yahoo will make it until then. In the meantime, I am reading about io, learning, and experimenting with a private group I have.? Also for what it is worth, I have some messages not go through, and have had to resend them a couple of times, but lately - the last few days, messages are being delivered. Patti

deleting Photos
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI¡¯ve started deleting photos from a couple of months ago which were
inserted images (oh how I wish I could select several at a time and bulk
delete... lol). I am finding that sometimes when I click on a photo it doesn¡¯t come
up, the photo before or after appears. Is this a known problem or am I just
unlucky? Any suggestions, please? I didn¡¯t realised that when one member used Incredimail, those
fluttering butterflies and the ape went in to the photo album too... heaps of
those to delete... I need to ask her not to use it. Win |

We¡¯ve been transferred since about last November. This morning I got a notice from Yahoo that I had 2 messages waiting for approval. I went to the old, now defunct group. There was one not two. I deleted the message and wrote to that email telling her about the new group (which it turned out she was already a member of). So I decided to put up an image of a closed sign for the banner photo. Upload. save. No Photo! Now I remember why I¡¯m so thankful for io groups, Nancy |
All Day events reminders and notices
Hiya - We're a family group that spans a few time zones, and use the calendar mainly for birthday and anniversary announcements, which are all-day events. Our calendar Timezone is set to Eastern Time (UTC - 5:00). Our all-day events are marked to send a notice when the event occurs. This seems to be sent at 3 PM Eastern time, which arrives too late for those in some time zones. 1) Is there a way to change this for notices or do I need to change all the events to send reminders instead of notices? 2)?I know there's an option for sending the reminder?nn?minutes/hours/days/weeks before the event. a) When is of the start time of an all day event??According to my experience with notices, it's not at midnight as I found in some of the forum threads. b) Does the timezone affect the event start time?? I realize that I can try a couple of events to work this out myself but I don't want to jam our members' Inboxes, so it would be helpful to know when this event occurs.? Thanks in advance, Abby. |

Compare: Interesting. I wonder where I went wrong in attempting to append that earlier. Oh well. That implies to me that the implementation effort for that part of it might be a lot less than I'd imagined. Then all that's needed is the UI element to provide the view choices -- show only the muted, not muted, followed or not followed threads. I've suggested (in beta) that the UI element has a home: in the filter pane (advanced search) pane of the messages and topics lists, and the Tools pane of the Search results.
