Highlighting read messages and a question on editing
Hi all, We've just transferred from Yahoo to Groups.io a few days ago so I'd like to ask a couple of questions. I searched through the archives here, but didn't find an answer, so I apologize if this

Re: Groups.io
Look in Subscriptions. That's where you see your delivery and tabs for your prior (editable) etc.? Frances

Re: Groups.io
Judy, Most likely your GMF subscription is under a different email address than the one you used to log onto Groups.io. I'll forward to you off-list rather than post your email address here. Shal

Re: Welcome Message?
Patti, If you'll be transferring members from a Yahoo Group they won't need an invitation. They'll be directly added to your Groups.io group by the transfer agent. So the Welcome notice is your option

When I access Groups.io: and go to Your groups/Manage My Subscriptions, this group is not listed, yet I receive daily emails. A different group I belong to is listed. Where can I find my profile for

Re: Welcome Message?
I'm not quite sure what you mean, but you do realize that the invitation serves a completely different purpose, right? It's for people who are not yet in your group, and it will send them a link to

Re: Welcome Message?
Thanks everyone! I actually like Bob's idea of the Invitation message better than using a welcome message. I want to let users know to add the Groups' email address to their 'safe senders' list, as I

Re: Welcome Message?
Bob, The rule used to be that they'd get a copy of the group's Welcome notice only if the group had edited it. I guess now that there is no default message the rule would be "if the group has one".

Re: Welcome Message?
Patti, In the left column on my groups.io home screen, when I click on "Admin" then "Invite" there appears an "Invitation to be sent". Just below the standard invitation message there is "Customize

Re: Welcome Message?
Right, there's no more default welcome message. I was surprised, as well. (I happened to create a new group recently - TerribleWriting, in case anyone is interested in joining! - which is how I know.)

Re: Welcome Message?
Patti, I thought there was a default Welcome notice. But the user interface for Member Notices has changed radically since I last set up a new group, so maybe not. Here's the one that "came with" my

Re: Problems trying to transfer from Yahoo...
Alberto - Are you inviting the transfer address to join your YAHOO group? The transfer address already has access to the groups.io group, but needs to belong to the Y! group to access the data. Dano

[Groups.io] Re: [email protected] is an invalid address
This is the reply I got when I had that problem: You need to invite <mailto:[email protected]> [email protected] to your Yahoo Group, not your Groups.io group. Hope this helps. Mark Bob R.F.

Re: Designing Importing Querying Database
Bob, At its core that's correct. The tables are independent. The database feature gives you some limited control over the presentation of the information, which gives it an advantage over a raw CDF
