Photo attachments can be deleted directly from the Emailed Photos folder. Otherwise, you remove an attachment by editing the corresponding message. See /g/GroupManagersForum/wiki/7120

Check Admin, Settings. Message Formatting: Force HTML Emails Make all emails HTML and remove the plain text digest option. Normalize HTML Emails Strip all different fonts and colors from HTML emails.
