Bruce, I opened the unzipped files and saved as .jpg file. They then uploaded successfully into the new group photo album. I do have 681 photos so if that is the only way, I have a lot of manual work

Groups.io needs to know the image file type in order to render thumbnails properly. Assuming they actually are JPEGs, you need to add a jpg file extension to each one, as Duane previously said (
