Paid to Move but problems
On Monday night, I paid to move 7 groups. ?All charges were approved by my bank and each group shows I paid for the premium rate.?I set-up the transfer information and received notices that 4 were ready to approve. But when I clicked on the link from the email to approve the transfer for one of the groups, it said that I had to pay to upgrade. I am not paying $220 on top of the $110 I already paid. ?I wrote to support, sending them the page showing I paid but have heard nothing. ?I know that groups.io has a backlog but my money was taken and I cannot complete the process. I really need to hear back from support and am now concerned that something similar will happen with the 3 groups that are still pending - still waiting for 3 yahoogroups invites to be accepted.
Has this happened to anyone else? Thanks, Margery |

Hi Bruce, delete the transfer moderator and invited it again. When it appeared in my old yahoo group I made it a moderator again (last night) and tried the transfer today. but have the same problem still. Chris
PS sent another email with screen capture just before |

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi Bruce, ? Did all the correct clicking of buttons as laid out by the instructions etc. The groups transfer shows for a moment but when I come back to the page to check it¡¯s not there. It looks as if you have to start the process again (3 times) I have tried it. See below? (yes I have hit the green button) ? Chris ? So I logged in this morning and upgraded my account from the free version to the premium....before the price increase. However, I must have signed up for the 1 month versus the yearly.
When I look at my account, I can't seem to find a way to make it into a Yearly account. There's no way to make that adjustment...how does one make this change? ? |

Re: When to make Welcome message active

Just bear in mind that it will then have to be rewritten to match its longer term purpose of welcoming new subscribers when they join later. I think I would also argue that it is much more important that you forewarn your members (assuming that you haven't already) that a move to Groups.io is imminent using a post to your existing Yahoo group. If the first thing people know about it is an email from some organisation called Groups.io of which they have never previously heard then there is a risk that a fair number will regard the email as suspect and mark it as spam, which in turn risks their being automatically removed. See here for the GMF wiki about this. A bit of advance notice might prevent a lot of confusion later. Chris |

Sure, just change them on the Settings page and save them.? You may need to remind folks to delete any bookmarks to the original name.? You'll also likely need to edit some of the notices since they'll have the original information in them.

Re: Moderators Unable to Approve Members and Messages
You can set what they do, click on their name and you should see lots of boxes you can tick for what they can do

Yes it was a good decision to revert that. |

Re: Group Upgrade Payment Debacle (was [email protected] e-mail address?)
Dear Charlie Several people have asked to get a week or two delay to get the money together and get their groups up for the move, such as you do. We get absolutely no answer.? |

Re: Notice of Pricing Change

I started a new group in IO Groups, and paid the $110 annual Premium fee before the price increase, and in the group Billing Overview it shows that the group plan is indeed Premium Yearly.
So I started the process of transferring a Yahoo group over, sent an invitation from it to [email protected] This was more than 12 hours ago, and have not yet seen that show up in my Yahoo group as member or received an email about making it a member. How long does that usually take, and is their a support email for IO Groups if it does not happen? Lukas |

Re: A few questions about transferring a group
I may be tilting at windmills, but it has been sometime since this thread started and I'm hoping for new possibilities.
A group of members of a Ygroup are trying to move it to groups.io. The owner of the group has abandoned it, and there is only one moderator, who cannot make additional moderators. I'm wondering if the transfer agent can be set to use the sole moderator's credentials to perform the transfer? Randy Wright |
