I get it now. Must¡¯ve missed the part about online mail. I read all my mail from my in box and when I do get digest mail I have no problem copying enough of the message to make it so folks know what I¡¯m referring to. ? ?

That would only work in an email client.? When replying online, there's no such setting, so each person replying has to make the decision of whether there will be any previous information included.
As an example, I highlighted your line above, then clicked on Reply so it was automatically included.? If I had just hit Reply, nothing would have been included, but I could click on "Quote Whole Post" (the speech balloon) to get it all included, then edit out anything I didn't want or intersperse my answers.
