At the risk of reopening an endless thread...

A few days ago someone was bumped off the group for marking a message as spam. As he had also failed to click the resubscribe link in GIO's canned message, I followed up with the member to see what was going on.

As it turned out, he had become fed up with [what he considered to be] too many chatty, off-topic messages in the group, and had begun actively sending them to spam. I asked him if he wanted his group subscription to be reinstated, with the caveat that he would have to learn to tolerate them. He said "no."

We group owners have spent a lot of time (too much time?) complaining about this particular feature. I just wanted to point out that sometimes these feedback loops work exactly the way they're supposed to.
