members don't pay attention to the subject and send info that is unrelated to the topic. Can the conversation grouping be disabled? I.E. can each message show independently? It can't be disabled, but you can switch your view to Messages by clicking on the blue Topics button and selecting Messages from the drop-down menu: Your selection is "sticky" unless you use the links on the Groups.io home page; those will reset you to Topics view.
