Re: deleting Photos

Shal, the reason that I don¡¯t want ALL old attachments deleted is that mine is a Photoshop group and several times a week I send in a tutorial with a sample. I want to keep those samples associated with the emails for when a new member may want to search the archives for a particular technique.
When the members do that tutorial, they send in their own sample. We don¡¯t need those samples after a certain time, but we do need the original sample with its email.
So I need to do ¡°selective¡± deleting. One thing that is making it difficult is that sometimes members will reply and include the original message and sample in their reply.
I have checked out the link you provided and none of the suggestions exactly fit what I need... the idea of consolidate (1b) has merit, but how to I make sure that the original sample is the one retained... at the moment I am having to click on a photo, see who sent it, then do the appropriate action... delete or keep... tedious, but accurate... it looks like that is the only way at the moment.
I¡¯m working on an explanation and instructions for my group, hopefully when they read them they will take it to heart.
Thanks for your reply though.

Win,

I¡¯ve started deleting photos from a couple of months ago which were inserted images (oh how I wish I could select several at a time and bulk delete... lol).
?
Other than cluttering up the Emailed Photos album, is there a reason to bother deleting them?

An alternative is in the Message Formatting section of your group's settings: Delete Old Attachments when out of space, and then just let the site deal with them:

For what it is worth, some ideas to make it easier to delete or consolidate these repeat photos have been discussed in beta.
