Conversion is easy. For your example it would be username@....
Convert the = to @ and drop the @groups.io.
Just another note for
members with Yahoo email addresses. When I respond to group posts from
my Yahoo email address the reponse goes to the member, not to the group.
I have to reply to use reply "All" and then delete the member's email. This is not a problem when replying from my gmail account.

That is what the format of the address is, but with a <at the beginning and a >at the end and no underline.
How do they get changed to a usable address?
