?A third possibility, and this actually happened in my group after the transfer (about two years ago), is that you forewarned to someone else a link to login sent to you by , they used it and gained access to your account (possibly completely unknowingly), and (as you) requested removal from the group.

what they say now; the messages were changed 21/22 March. The quoted message certainly doesn't match the old version, and I hope against hope that it isn't the new version. (As an aside I am still awaiting a copy of that to put in the wiki.)
At the same time the suggestion that you unsubscribed yourself may not be true; see my previous post about the precise wording:
You have been unsubscribed... Not the correct wording if someone unsubscribes themself.
Dash; have you contacted your co - owner; he / she should have received a message as well; what did that say?
