My bad, all. I was trying to invite [email protected] to my groups.io group, not my YahooGroup.
It always helps to actually READ the instructions, not skim!

I'm confused because Mark posted that he'd completely changed the transfer process:

"I spent a good part of this week completely redoing how I do Yahoo Group transfers. No longer do you initiate transfers by inviting the transfer user to join your group. Instead, you go to?/yahootransfer?and fill out a form, with your Yahoo Group, your Groups.io group and what you'd like to transfer. You can then track the progress of the transfer through the website."

He says "no longer do you initiate transfers by inviting the transfer user to join your group" etc., but when you click on the link, it still instructs people to do that. I think this is creating some confusion. Possibly he posted the wrong link here?
