Even the big guys (and I'm not saying Groups.io isn't) like Microsoft make a mess of this. We're using Office365 across thousands of business users and the date format flip flops between US, UK, and Algerian depending on user locale settings and if using online or local installation of Excel...Absolute nightmare, we defaulted to writing dates in abbreviated full i.e. 12 Jan 18 so software doesn't see it as 1st December when entering 12/1/18
Just setup a Database in Groups.io and noticed it was US even though the locale is GMT whoops UTC (yet another standard) :-)
