Hello everyone,

I have been a group owner on Groups.IO for over three years and this was a two day event

or so and this was the first time this has happened since I created my group in October 2014.?

Would you like a list of the frequent and severe problems I have had in Yahoo Groups including

losing everything in my original group a year after it was formed, seeing the size of messages

drastically reduced and losing 90% of the groups I had subscribed to in another Yahoo crisis.

One can do what they want, but occurances like the Norton issue are part of the internet and

in my world Yahoo Groups has become vastly inferior and a major source of very serious issues

in many ways in contrast to Groups.IO. Stick with Yahoo Groups and you should get burned

somehow sooner and later.? Also, I have not seen that anyone suffered harm to their Groups.IO

lists during the short period this Norton event happened as opposed to losing lists and memberships

on Yahoo Groups in my case.? Also the Groups.IO problem was caused by outside companies in this

Groups.IO case, but Yahoo problems are almost always issues with its own operations and this now

extends into the Verizon ownership era. How many employees does Yahoo have in comparison with

the very small and very effective staff of Groups.IO which can be counted on one finger of one hand?

Also one Saturday evening, Groups.IO went down.? I emailed the owner.
In around two hours the problem was fixed.? I received an apology as did owners lists and the owner

that day was on his last day of vacation in Paris, France.? Do you know of any Yahoo stories like that one??

During my group owner life, Yahoo Groups has been down for up to days at a time quite a few times and

each time there is a discussion as to whether or not the service has come to an end elsewhere.

Groups is no longer listed on the main Yahoo page, it has now been demoted to listing under the MORE link.

I do not think that the mass migration of Groups from Yahoo to Groups.IO has been caused due to Yahoo

being a superior service that will last for many years to come.? Neither would Yahoo transfer for your group,

all of your Groups.IO content to Yahoo if you wanted to make that change, but the one man band here in

Groups.IO does that in about one week caused by huge demand for this help.

Everyone have a good weekend.
