Do you keep your Norton updated? If not, get it up to date, not all updates are automatic.
I ask this because about a week ago, a bunch of us went through that and we had to turn off Norton Safe Web on Chrome and the Norton Toolbar on Firefox. I called Norton Support and after 2 hours on the phone, re-installation of Norton and Chrome, the tech gave up and said she was going to push it up a level and they would call me. I never heard anymore but last Tuesday the problem stopped.
Like another member suggested, clear your browser cookies and history. If this doesn't work then you may want to disable Norton and enable MS Defender or one of the other free security programs to see if detects the same "identity theft." If it does, then you may have a real problem.

I have been trying to launch a new groups.io site for our neighborhood, but while testing we got a very scary message from Norton saying the site is unsafe - identify theft.? I believe the site is safe, but if I release this and people get this message, it will definitely scare them off.
I've tried reaching the groups.io developer but the support email is not working and I've tried to contact Norton, but of course am not getting a response.
