Re: link to subscribe

I found this interesting so I tried the link and then the Join Here on the home page and both just sent me to the home page.

?

While personally not interested in joining the group? I wanted to see what it was about and if it was something for my groups.

?

So not sure what Join Here for either link was to take you to and what you would be able to do but nothing happened for me.

?

Yes I was signed into my Groups.io account but I have no connection to her group.

Frances, I don't think your response is correct. What Linda described is exactly what happens when a logged-in group member attempts to go to the join link. The screen flashes for a moment and then redirects the user to the group home page.?

?

This happens even if the?logged-in group member manually enters the full url to the join link into the browser's search bar.

Linda, if you are logged in as a group member (or perhaps just have an automatic login cookie set) and want to test the join facility, you must do it from an incognito (anonymous) browser window.

Part of my #suggestion to the beta group was that if the person accessing the join link is currently logged in as a group member, a dialog should come up saying "You are already a group member" with an OK to dismiss.

Linda, what you observe is exactly what happens if you are logged into the account as a member and you try to go to the join lin.?
