I humbly disagree. RI members do count against your membership quota. If you're a Basic group nearing 100 members, these represent subscriptions that could be vacated for the benefit of others. Conversely, if you're a paid group, you're paying extra money to keep them on.

Another reason is simply because you find them bothersome. They can't post, aren't receiving messages, and cannot even read messages online. If they cared, they would have complained a long time ago. Why continue to cling to a handful of subscribers who clearly don't give a hoot?

The final reason is to get them to do something about their status. While repeated notifications from groups.io have failed to get their attention, maybe removing them from the group will finally get them off their chair. Probably not, but it might.

You're the group owner, and are fully empowered to send these subscribers to the bit-bucket. While I just gave you three good reasons to do so, I'm struggling to think of any good reason not to.
