Yes.

For legal reasons, the invitation must include certain information and give the invitee an opportunity to opt out. Groups.io cannot assume you will include that in your personalized message.

2. ?I’m using a spare email to test the invite scenarios so my process is to delete the spare email from our group and test a new scenario. ?When I do that I get a message that my spare email is already registered. ?Am I missing something?

I may be misunderstanding you, but I'll take a stab at this...

Unsubscribing from the group does not "unregister" the account. They are two separate things. To provide more details we'll need to know exactly what the error message says.
