Our eternity.io group runs like our old Yahoo group with emails in 'threads' which are archived, so that one can search the archive and pull up messages relating to a topic.? JSA -- People have previously argued for both web-only and email-only groups. Neither is an available feature. As you've surmised, much difficulty arises when trying to assign an incoming email to the right "bucket;" especially when nondescript subject lines like "Help" are involved.

Such ambiguity does not exist in your classic web forum. If that's what you really want, groups.io may not be your best option. Consider a dedicated forum provider, such as ProBoards (proboards.com). It is ad-supported, but you can remove the ads for a fee. If you're savvy enough to set it up, you could also use something like PHPBB on your own web site (phpbb.com). It is free and open-source.

Hope this helps,
Bruce
