Re: Two Levels of moderation

Duane,
I created a group with four subgroups. I went back in and removed the spam control setting for one of the groups as you suggested/implied. However, at the home page for the subgroup it still gives an email address to subscribe to the subgroup. What is happening here? If someone sees this subgroup on the internet and subscribes to it, since the spam is removed for this subgroup will they have to pass the moderation criteria of the main group, or will they be permitted to join the subgroup and submit messages without any moderation?

Also, one of the four subgroups is tailored just for the main group. It would make no sense to give someone the capability to subscribe to the subgroup, but yet an email address is provided to do just that. Is there a way to eliminate all the subscription and unsubscription email addresses in the home page of a subgroup?

They're independent. They could meet either criteria for that group or subgroup without meeting both. As you have it set, they'd need 2 approved posts in each group. Note that you don't have to choose a Spam Control on a subgroup only the main group.
