Indeed. My approach has been to insert my bit in bold italic to draw eyes towards it and away from the boilerplate component.
My last one, for instance said in the insert:
For simplicity, just [reply] to this email to accept the invitation. Any other approach may require you to go through a separate verification step.
You can, of course, just ignore this invitation to join the list if you don't want to receive club emails.
I will add that everyone had received a prior email warning them of the coming of the invitation.
