Re: Bouncing Members

Hi Ruth,
I can't help with most of this because I'm new with Groups.io. Yet, I can tell you what I do with my Yahoo Groups Bouncing members; I send them an email from my personal email to see if it bounces. You get more info about why it is bouncing and if it doesn't you include a message saying that their ISP is rejecting the group messages. This happens because some ISP's look at how many people are included on to lists and bounce those that they think may be spam. Some ISP's have settings where the group member can add the group email address to a list of those that should not be rejected.

When checking the email history of the bouncing member, & seeing that recent messages have been successfully delivered, how can I reactivate this member as a regular member? I like to keep my bounce numbers way down, if at all possible.?

Also at what point should i consider a member ¡°dead¡±, after multiple bounce probes & no change with their email delivery??

Thanks for any advice!?
