I have an excel list of about 75 group members I need to direct add to my premium group. ?

The excel data didn't come from a Yahoo group. ?I looked at the Wiki with guidance on how to do a mass add like this from an excel file but got a bit tripped up because it seems to be written from the perspective of moving a group from Yahoo to GIO as so many were doing last year. ? Also found a threat in which Bruce shared some steps he'd taken but then that had some correction in responses to his and, well, I'm just looking for clear guidance on whatever steps so I can do this without trial and error. ?In the message thread here on GMF, Bruce's steps include these:

"These are the steps I used to prepare a text file suitable for upload into the “Direct Add” member subscription function.

1.????? Export the Y! member list to csv format. (Yahoo will only export the first 1000 members – there are?other options?if your group has more than 1000 members.)
2.????? Open in Excel
3.????? Insert a new “Column A” to contain the text string “Direct Add” expects.??
4.????? Insert a new “Column D” to contain a translation of the “Delivery” field to the keyword expected by “Direct Add”
5.????? In my case, this resulted in a spreadsheet format as follows:?
Column A: container for “Direct Add” lines
Column B: The Display Name from Yahoo
Column C: The email address from Yahoo
Column D: container for the “Delivery” option converted from Column G to the keyword “Direct Add” expects
Column E: Joined date from Yahoo – not used"

With the above, my current xls (easy enough to convert that to a csv as/if necessary) has just three columns: ?A: ?Last name, B: First name and C: email address

With Bruce's steps above, I'm not sure I understand what the Column A is? ?"Container"--so what specifically should be in that column?

Column B: ?Display name is two columns (last name, first name) so not sure what goes here.

Column D: the delivery option would be fine but not essential for us. ?Wasn't sure the "Column G" reference or what, specifically, was meant by "keyword"

?

Bottom line, I'm just hoping that I may have missed a clear checklist or guide on how to upload a list of members for direct add when already in excel in a three column format as described. ?Is that guidance on here somewhere more clearly and maybe I just missed it?
