To quote Shakespeare... Aye, there's the rub.* With the "old" BT web interface (+ POP) the only available option was to have the Spam box on or off. With the new one even that limited choice has been removed. No safe senders list. :(

I have no objections to IMAP per se; it's just that for consistency's sake I would have to do 3 other email addresses as well (tedious), with no certainty that it would actually provide a means of achieving what I want to achieve. I will revisit BT's "guidance" because I think I saw some suggestion that with IMAP some tinkering is possible, but if I read things correctly that tinkering is from the email client, and the vintage of Outlook that I am using doesn't have any obvious means to do it. (I do have one IMAP address already that was foisted on me and I can see nothing useful in there.)
