So at some point you may want to change some settings in your Yahoo Group to prevent new content postings from members. For mine I set the Yahoo groups on moderation so that I can "Reject with reply" any messages posted there, and remind them about the new group posting address.
You can also have an automatic message sent. It works very well.
The transfer will be seamless. But people do need to know or they will think the list is hijacked.
I announced on one list that I was moving the group and explained why. I had already started the process and all H broke loose. People regarded the list as ¡°theirs¡± and I hadn¡¯t asked for a group decision.
