Promoting Sub Groups

Hi All,
What is the best way to promote subgroups?
I wanted to create a webpage for sign-up for each subgroup. I realize you can't do 'google or facebook' login for subgroups, so what's the best?way to do this?

Also - where are the subscribe and unsubscribe?instructions for each group located?
