No, they'd have to be uploaded directly, not sent as an attachment.

You've found the easiest way that I know of, selecting download to get actual size.? Because so many different screen sizes are used, from phones to 42", Mark decided to show maximum size for each screen.? Another option is to shrink your browser window before viewing photos to make them smaller using the responsive technology of the site.
